Widely regarded as Britain's Premier British Airborne Living History Group; Just Ordinary Men has rapidly earned a reputation, both nationally and internationally, for it's dedication and historical authenticity.
This reputation is due, in no small part, to extensive training regarding weapons safety, authentic field craft, attention to the smallest detail and military bearing.
Recreating the role of a WW2 British Airborne Reconnaissance Troop; Just Ordinary Men bring's to life scenes that were familiar in many theatres of operation. We have access to an unique and extensive training area that enables us to train in all aspects of field, barrack, parade and weapons sphere's, for twelve months of the year, when the majority of other unit's close down for the winter.
Although we take our role seriously. We make living history and re-enactment an enjoyable and educational experience for all concerned.
Our members already possess these uniforms which means we are able to parade without the need to source correct insignia prior too, or during, an event. This level of adaptability enables us to present an exciting portrayal of two Airborne Division's ..... all under one roof.

Mess Matters and the Social Side
Re-enacting, for us, isn't just about meeting up at events. It's about forging a good friendship within the membership and pulling together as a team; resulting in us having an excellent Esprit de Corps when 'at work' and socially. Throughout the year, we hold several social events for members and their families culminating in the main Squadron Mess Night in December which formally ends the re-enacting year.

The Officer Commanding, Kevin Lowdon, will be Retiring from the group and from re-enactment due to his health from 25th August 2008.
